Midnight Moonlight and You" was written over 30 years ago and has a storied history. Way back in the 90's I had a music management company with Jim Saxon called "Calvin James Music." We were really excited because we just signed Giorge Pettus, a great R&B pop singer who had a record deal with MCA Records and they were working on his album. What he needed was a hit song! Jim and I got together with songwriter Tom Campbell in my living room and wrote "Midnight Moonlight and You." We thought it was a real banger and the record label would love it. So, Jim and I flew out to LA and met with Louil Silas. At that time he was MCA Records executive producer for Babyface, Bobby Brown, Sheena Easton, Pebbles, Patti LaBelle, and Giorge Pettus.
